Dear Ethel M. Young Elementary School Community,

Growing up in a suburban area of North Dallas, I valued my primary education years. However, I felt a yearning of wanting to belong. This inspired my career in education and educational leadership. Every school I have dedicated my time to, I ensure to cultivate an inclusive, safe, and supportive community to where every student is held to high expectations and valued.

It is with great pride and excitement that I serve as the Assistant Principal of Ethel M. Young Elementary. I am honored to help lead such a dedicated and vibrant school community and remain deeply committed to our district’s mission. My journey in education began at Texas State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, and continued at the University of St. Thomas, where I obtained a Master of Education. My passion for teaching and my commitment to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth continue to fuel my dedication to this work.

With seven years of experience in education—as a classroom teacher and a school leader—I am committed to building a culture grounded in excellence, student success, and strong relationships. I value the power of collaboration and will partner closely with staff, families, and community members to create an environment where every student is supported, pushed to grow, and inspired to achieve their highest potential.
